This is a hands on first line manager role, not a manager of managers Meaningful ownership of backend, infrastructure, platform or transactional systems, rather than delivery or optimisation alone Concrete, current use of AI tooling: you can name the tools, describe how your workflow changed, explain how you are upskilling the team, and hold a view on how AI changes the software lifecycle An AI forward or web3 and crypto background.

Payments and general fintech are learnable here rather than a differentiator Someone who still owns technical decisions directly rather than delegating them to tech leads You love the idea of coaching and building leaders, both inside and outside your direct team You work well cross functionally and can think rigorously and make hard trade offs Experience managing remote teams, and comfort with a fast pace, high autonomy and real responsibility
